اهتمَّ العلَّامة الحِلِّيّ في أبحاثه القرآنيَّة بعلم أسباب النزول؛ لكونها تساعد المفسِّر على فهم مراد الله تعالى، وتُبيِّن سببَ نزول الآية، والغرض منها.
وقد سعى الباحث لتتبُّع موقف العلَّامة الحِلِّيّ من أخبار أسباب النزول، فظهر له أنَّ موقفه منها كان موقفًا واضحًا وعمليًّا، كاشفًا عن الاهتمام به، فقد استدلَّ واستشهد وناقش أخبار أسباب النزول في بحوثه الاستدلاليَّة، كاشفًا عن أهميَّة هذا العلم في مقام الاستدلال، وقد اعتمد على عقليَّته الأصوليَّة والتفسيريَّة في تطبيقاته لأخبار أسباب النزول، محاولًا معالجة حالة التعارض القائمة بين الأخبار في تفسير النصِّ القرآنيّ، وذلك من الرجوع الى المرجِّحات، كموافقة الظهور القرآنيّ، أو وجود شاهد على صحَّتها.
واعتمد العلَّامة كذلك على شرط عدالة راوي السبب، وأن يكون سامعًا
للسبب مشاهدًا له، ومن دون ذلك يُرفضُ الخبر؛ لكونه فاقدًا لشروط
الصحَّة، ولم يمنع العلَّامة إمكان تعدُّد الأخبار في السبب، أو تعدُّد السبب والخبر
واحد، مع اعتبار صحَّة الراوي، فقد تكون الآية نازلة لسبَبين قد تقارنا في
الحدوث.
حاول العلَّامة الحِلِّيّ عبر بحوثه الاستدلاليَّة بيان هذا العلم، الذي يُعدُّ مورد فهم النصِّ القرآنيِّ؛ لأنَّه من التفسير الأثريّ، الذي لا يُستغنى عنه في عمليَّة التفسير، وقد كان العلَّامة الحِلِّيّ موضوعيًّا في اختياره لإخبار أسباب النزول في بحوثه الاستدلاليَّة، وقد جاء هذا البحث؛ ليبيِّن موقف العلَّامة الحِلِّيّ من أخبار أسباب
النزول.

In his Qur'anic research, the scholar (Al-Allamma Al-Hili) is interested in the knowledge of the causes of the descent, as it helps the interpreter to understand the Almighty and shows the reason and purpose of the (Aya) verse of Quran.
The researcher sought to track the position of Al-Hilli on the news of the reasons for the descent, It appeared to the researcher that the scholar position on it was a clear and practical position revealing the interest in him, he inquired, cited and discussed the news of the reasons for the descent in his inference researches, revealing the importance of this science in the position of inference, also he has relied on his fundamentalist and explanatory mentality in his applications of news of the descent, attempting to address the state of inconsistency between the news in the interpretation of the Quranic text, so as to refer to the probabilities such as approval of the appearance of the holy Quran or the presence of a witness to its authenticity.
Al-Allamma also relied on the condition of narrator justice of the reason and to be hearing the reason and a viewer, without it, the news is rejected; for lacking of conditions of its trustiness. No reason had prevented the possibility of multiple news in the cause, or multiple cause and news is one with regard to the trustiness of the narrator, the verse (Aya) may be coming down for two reasons may compare to us in the occurrence.
Through his evidentiary research, Al-Allmma scholar tried to demonstrate this science, which is the source of understanding the Qur'anic text, because it is an archaeological heritage for interpretation, which is indispensable in the process of interpretation. Al-Hili was objective in his choice of telling the reasons for his descriptive research. This research came to show his scholarly attitude in the news of the causes of the descent.
